My Notes:

Mercury

Mercury is closest planet to the son, and the second smallest planet in the solar system (about the size of our moon).

It only takes 88 days for Mercury to circle the sun.

The atmosphere atmosphere on Mercury is composed of helium and sodium and because of these two gazes, temperatures can change quickly in the course of one "day".

The side facing the sun can reach up to 427 degrees Celsius, hot enough to melt metal, while the side facing away from the sun can drop to -183 degrees Celsius.
