Uintatherium

Uintatherium was one of the first gigantic mammals. It lived in North America and Asia during the Late Eocene Period.

It looked like a giant rhinoceros, measuring 13 feet long and weighing more than 2 tons. It had broad feet like an elephant. Several pairs of blunt horns ran along the top of its head and two large canine teeth stuck out from its upper jaw.

Like the rhinoceros of today, Uintatherium ate plants.
