Stegosaurus

Stegosaurus lived all over the world from the Middle Jurassic Period to the Late Cretaceous Period.

It weighed up to two tons and was thirty feet (9 m) long. Named for its unique appearance, Stegosaurus or "roof lizard" had seventeen triangle-shaped plates in two rows along its back and four long, sharp spikes on the end of its tail. This tough body scared away predators and helped the Stegosaurus defend itself.

It had no teeth, but used its beak to break down the plants it ate.

Stegosaurus was not the brightest dinosaur, since it had such a tiny brain.  Some people believed that Stegosaurus had a second brain in its back or tail, but sadly for Stegosaurus, this was not true.
