Parasaurolophus could walk on two feet or on four feet. It was about 40 feet long and weighed two tons; unlike many dinosaurs, Parasaurolophus had a duck bill and claws. The 5-foot hollow crests on its head may have been used to produce trumpet-like sounds or to smell better; either trait would have helped the Parasaurolophus avoid danger.
