It measured sixteen inches (39 cm) in length and weighed only ten pounds (4.5 kg). Its small size and feather-like fuzz allowed it to glide like a flying squirrel and pounce on prey. Sharp teeth aided the attack. Claws and an extended toe on its feet were used to climb trees, making it the first known tree-dwelling dinosaur.
